It features a 707 jet first introduced in 1959, and the first aircraft operated by the airline, an Avro 504 biplane. Designed by George Hamori, a significant designer of stamps by commission to the Australian Postal Service, it was printed by the Reserve Bank of Australia Note Printing Branch.
